Bill Clinton was the second president to get impeached. Although he was impeached, he was not removed from office. The main reason that Clinton was impeached was the fact he had a sexual harassment lawsuit filed against him. He was impeached on two charges which was lying under oath and obstruction of justice. He was having an affair with 21 year old Monica Lewinsky. Clinton denied any accusations and continued to claim that he didnt have an affair with her. Paula Jones, a lawyer had found out about the affair and was planning on sueing the president for sexual harassment. Thye both denied the affairs. After the impeachment there was a trial to see if he should be removed from office but that never went through, therefore alllowing Clinton to finish his term in the White House. The votes was a 50-50 split between not guilty and guilty. In the end clinton apoligized for the trouble he casued
