The conference was a meeting of the "Big Three" the three main allied powers Britain, U.S., and Russian. The conference was called to determine war strategy as well as post war strategies and cooperation between the three countries. The result was in hopes of creating friendly relationships with the soviets, much of Nazi Germany territory in Eastern Europe was handed over to the Soviets with the agreement that there would be free and fair elections. This is very similar to the Munich Conference with making agreements with a nation, then giving them a bucnh of stuff
