After months of training, Japan launched an air attack on December 7, 1941, at Pearl Harbour naval base in Hawaii. Japan wanted to take care of any problems in the Pacific Ocean, so they bombed and kamikazed the largest battleship fleet the US had in that ocean. Subsequently, after the devastating attack, the US declared war against Japan, thus dragging them into the ongoing World War II.
