Anne shows up for Hanukka as the only one who brought gifts for people Mr.Frank says there will be no gift-giving this year but Anne doesn't listen. After she hands out the gifts Mr.Van Daan is talking about getting rid of Peters's cat but Peter says that if the cat leaves he leaves. Then everyone calms down and chills. Anne wants to sing and dance but Mr. Frank Is refusing, with a little convincing from Anne they start celebrating Hanukka and singing and dancing. Then they hear a noise coming from below them... They all freeze and they turn off all the lights Peter stands on top of a chair to reach the top light switch but he falls and makes a very loud noise. Everyone panics and Anne even faints Mr.Frank said that he would go check it out and he finds that it was a thief and that the thief seemed to steal a radio and some money. The group is terrified and scared the thief will tell on them and expose where they are. Instead, the scene ends with the group restoring faith and singing the Hanukka song and the scene ends.
