Medicine was first introduced in 1804. It was invented by a German scientist called Friedrich Sertuner. It was named ‘Morphine’. Morphine belongs to a group of medicines called opioid painkillers. Morphine functions in a way that essentially acts on your brain and nervous system to reduce pain.
