around 38-40ADThecla is a convert of Paul, ministering with him for the duration of her life. She is persectued and leaders tried to kill her several times, but she is unharmed. The historicity of the person is unquestioned, as early Church Fathers mention her; however, the story of her almost martyrdom is un substantiated.
