This is when you are very low energy and depressed a lot, but have huge mood swings at random. After hearing other symptoms, Tara quickly realizes that these are basically describing her dad, and makes a point of saying so in her notes. This changes how Tara views her dad’s outbursts, and her path of interest when she decides to write a big paper on how having a bipolar parent can affect a child
