Karl Marx, looking at the misery created under the Industrial Revolution, published this book. History, Marx argued, was a series of class struggles. In the book, he lays out the idea that eventually, workers will have had enough of being exploited, and will get rid of the capitalist owner class. This will usher in socialism in individual countries, then eventually lead to a worldwide revolution and the end of history since everyone would become the same class.
