King George II was the king of Great Britain. He was a sincere and honest ruler, but he wasn't effective with the American colonies. In later life, he suffered from mental illness and later passed away. During his 59 year reign he pushed through a British victory in The Seven Year War, and led England's successful resistance to revolutionary and Napoleonic France.
