After a year of constantly stepping in without consequences, Ulric and Ethel turn against Olive. She doesn't take it as easily as Isaac, and although Jason tries to step in, nothing works.

The following day, Olive doesn't return. Jason keeps asking where she went, but his parents said they were "taking care of it". Jason is worried, but does nothing further. He assumes she went to a preparatory school in Bordeaux he once heard his parents talking about.
