the royalist fall down. was because of a lot of their effort towards the war at the start of the war they became too cocky for their own good, and they would often beleive that because it was all uncontrol by Charles they almost had God on their side the royalist had a lot of issues and weakness that might their fall was inevitable
they had problems with:

-securing their new lands
-controlling order in their areas
-administration
-indecisiveness
-generals
-division between power
