Here we see that even after Rachel has been told by the police to stay away from her ex-husbands home and to not contact him at all, she does the opposite and contacts him via-email. Not only on this day does she do that but she pulls the memory that she had lied to the police about where she went into Toms house and got his child and took her to the train-tracks yet she does not know why she did this.
