Dred Scott was a slave who sue to become free. The State Government ruled that Black could not sue. Blacks and, later asians still can't become citizens. Most of the people thought it was silly for African-Americans to have the same rights as White Americans. Citizenship is still not inclusive to some races. Voting rights not guaranteed if you have a CItizenship.
