SCP-682 is moved to a modified containment chamber with slits for blades positioned on the walls. The tool successfully divides SCP-682 into approximately 12,000 cubes, which are relocated to individual containment cells via vacuum tubes and set against pieces of SCP-173. 80 seconds after the initial incisions were made, the vacuum tubes experience spontaneous failure. Upon inspection of vacuum equipment, D-10056 is killed by an amorphous gelatin-like substance comprised of the liquefied flesh of SCP-682. D-10148 turns his sight to the murder, causing SCP-173 to reconstruct and snap his neck. The emergency incineration mechanisms fail due to clogging.
SCP-682 eventually regenerates and continues to stare at SCP-173 for 17 hours. The test is overridden by O5-2, and SCP-682 is sedated and commissioned back to its containment cell. During the attempt to transfer SCP-173, a short power outage occurs, killing all nearby personnel and resulting in a containment breach. It is later found that this was caused by the electrical generator being burned by the failed emergency incinerators.
