Mstislav all the while expected something terribly wrong with Romana's boys as her blood smelled different to the other members of the tribe. Finally getting the chance to be alone with her away from her three sons, Mstislav reveals himself as a Vampire, one of the original founding Sires.

Before he has a chance to kill her and drink her blood, Blōþąwulfaz arrives in Wolf form, killing his mother - who refuses to attack her son, despite how much he loathes her now - and devouring her whole.
