Battlefront II is a good game sadly overshadowed by the infamy surrounding its monetization scheme and interactions with the community. Notably it would take 40 or more hours for a player to unlock just one hero, or they could purchase them with real money. Along with that an EA representative on reddit said so many hours of play would give the player a "sense of pride and accomplishment" which soon became the most disliked post on the entire site. Both Belgium and the Netherlands would ban the sale of any microtransactions in video games as a result of Battlefront II's release.
