This album features a new lead guitarist named Josh Klinghoffer. Previous guitarist John Frusciante, who was a huge part of RHCP's success, decided to quit to focus on his solo career. Produced by Rick Rubin again. The album didn't have the same feel as when Frusciante was with them but the final product was still great.
