The house of Patriot Lt Col Robert Heriot was fired on by a British galley with grapeshot. Grapeshot penetrated every room of the house striking Centry as she stood by the seated Mrs Heriot. It is believe the British were attempting to punish anyone who was fighting against them in a most sever manner. Lt Col Heriot was not a home because he was a POW held by the British.
