Great Compromise formed Senate and House of Representatives (Virginia Plan wanted population and Rhode Island Plan wanted equal votes)
3/5 Compromise made slaves count as 3/5 population for taxes and representation
Slave Trade Compromise postponed abolitionment of the slave trade until 1808
Based on federalism and separation of powers (prevented one branch from having too much power)
Led to Federalists vs. Antifederalists
