Yes, America did win, but technically they both won. Towards the end, when they signed their treaty, Mexico gave American all of the southwest and California and the border was called Rio Grande. But America gave Mexico $15 million dollars. So they both won, but I am afraid to say that I think America got more out of the battle. Tons thought of the Manifest Destiny,
the belief that it was the destiny of the U.S.
to expand, and that is what mainly won.(Victory with Mexico, WWM).
