Operation Torch was lead by General DwightEisenhower. The Allies troops headed to Morocco and Algeria, then made their way to North Africa, where they met up with British
forces in Tunisia. Rommel’s forces surrendered to the Allies in May of 1943. This is important because it is another signifigant win for the Allies.
