Shelter was firstly created by using wood poles or sticks covered with animal hides. In other areas where wood was hard to find, hominids used the large bones from mammoths in order to build frames, where they were covered by animal hides. This advancement was important because it kept the hominids warm and it also could be a reason as to why the ventured out because the hominids might have wanted to live a little bit away from each other.
