Tries hard for the next few weeks but one day, he has his phone stolen as he’s beaten to the ground by some older boys trying to protect his father’s guitar which they also want to steal. Ms Langtree appears and helps Dominic, giving detentions to all the boys involved. Sadly Dominic’s phone is broken but his guitar is okay.

He breaks down into tears to Ms Langmore who comforts him and calls Molly. When Molly turns up, the two women go off into a separate room. Dominic stays with his guitar, mumbling quietly to his dad as if that guitar embodies his soul. He also thinks of Erika and what she would do. When Molly and Ms Langtree return, they look like they're planning something. He doesn’t know what.
