Qatar Foundation was founded in 1995 by the emir of Qatar. At that time, Education City itself did not exist, except as part of the vision of the Qatari government. However, work quickly got underway at the site. Once an architectural master plan had been established, the buildings that now form the Qatar Foundation campus became reality.
