In 1733, the flying shuttle was invented by John Kay from Bory, Landshire. The shuttle is placed in a box with a sliding hammer, attached to a cord. When the weaver pulls the cord, the hammer hits the shuttle, shooting it across the box. It was Caught by another box and stopped using Leather straps. Then the process is repeated.
