Martin Luther King, in my opinion, is the most influential person to ever set the stage, in history. He made some of the most astounding achievements in the last century even though every single odd was stacked against him. But, good things never last and he was shot in the skull one morning while standing on his balcony in Tennessee. News of King’s assassination prompted major outbreaks of racial violence, resulting in more than 40 deaths nationwide and extreme property damage in over 100 American cities. During his funeral a recording was played that King had made and spoke about how he wanted to be remembered after his death: “I’d like somebody to mention that day that Martin Luther King Jr., gave his life to serve others”. King was a truly inspirational person and leader, and he will never be forgotten.
