Pearl Harbor took place on August 7, 1941. This attack was a planned aerial attack by the Japanese forces led by Isoroku Yamamoto. Around 185 Japanese pilots attacked US naval base in Hawaii and sunk or damaged 8 of our battle ships.
Significance - This attack brought out the American anger towards the Axis powers and joined WWII days shortly after. Americas naval forces was weakened significantly and cost many lives that day.
