Fighting continued in Vietnam for a couple years after American withdrawal. On April 30th, 1975 North Vietnam captured South Vietnams Capital, Sygone. North Vietnam renamed the city Ho Chi Minh City and South Vietnam Surrendered. This was the end of the Vietnam War
