Viacom splits in half and the other half becomes the CBS Corporation. Both corporations are still owned by National Amusements. Star Trek rights are split. CBS owns television and merchendising rights while Viacom (under paramount) own the movie rights. Moonves convinces Warner Media to bring UPN and the WB together to create the CW.
