Krakoa is discovered when a research ship washes ashore after a storm. Ship's captain Kirk Marston, researcher Dr. Wilma Calvin, and documentarian Tandy Snow discover Shanna and Kaiser, who leads them to the Cotati ruins. Calvin takes a sample of the Cotati, and bring Shanna and Kaiser back the the US with them. They are taken to Miami.
