Circa: Elven refugees of Tintageer led by Prince Durothil come to Toril through a magical portal from the world of Faerie. They settle down in the northern parts of the continent and name it Faerûn, meaning "the One Land". They mix with the existing green elves. The gold elves become known as sun elves, and the descendents of the lone silver elf Sharlario Moonflower give rise to the moon elves.
