Beowulf arrives on Earth as part of an Asgardian battle group lead by Thor to combat a Jotun attack of Earth. The Jotuns are seemingly defeated though Angerboda manages to escape. Beowulf, having thought killed in battle, is left behind. He is found and nursed back to health by the Wægmunding.
