Uther is killed in battle. Merlin, realizing his mistake, believes Arthur to be the Chosen One. He takes the boy, and gives him to Sir Ector to raise. Merlin provides Arthur tutoring. King Leodegrance takes over rule of Uther’s Kingdom.
