In January 2011, Jobs took another medical leave of absence due to his health issues. In August of that same year, he resigned as CEO and became chairman of the Apple board. Jobs is replaced as CEO by COO Tim Cook. Under new Apple CEO Tim Cook, Apple had introduced 17 new iPhone models along with new hardware product lines, including the Apple Watch and AirPods.
