William Carey founded the Particular Baptist Society for Propagating the Gospel.
Missionary movement was widely received and spread swiftly, partly accomplished through colonialism (which they didn't always agree with but could justify).
First time missions was an interest for the general membership of churches.
Partly contributed to feminist movement since women began taking men's roles.
