If the sceptic really doubts that there are premises that “ravish” the understanding and lead it to certain conclusions, can he also doubt that he knows that he doubts? If he doubts this, can he doubt that he doubts, and so on? No matter how the sceptic squirms, he will have to admit that something is true, and hence “it is necessary to bid an everlasting farewell to your Pyrrhonism."
