Ending WWI, Germany finally agreed to end the fighting. However the terms of surrender were harsh. And going agains the suggestions of the US, the European powers decided to harshly blame Germany for the entirety of the war. This put Germany into a serious economic depression and caused a growing hatred that would be taken advantage of in WWII
