As a plague likely Ori in origin takes hold in the Milky Way Galaxy causing huge amounts of devastation. The few remaining uninfected Ancients flee to a neighboring galaxy in Atlantis their city-sized spaceship. After numerous attempts to fix the problem including going back in time the Ancients accept their fate and use the Dakara device to reseed life in the galaxy.
