The 1938 Sestos Riot was one of the largest riots in Oipientian history. The riot began when a local bakery was seized for supposedly dealing illegal drugs to the public. When no drugs were found, the police blamed the owner, Cosèt X̃ugẽj, and killed him. The riot sparked almost immedietly as Cosèt was liked by all Sestosi. 455 people were either killed, imprisoned, or deported. The riot caused the beginning of the Sestosi Independence Movement.
