Christopher Columbus was credited with discovering The Americas as well as islands in the Pacific. The King and Queen of Spain commissioned the voyage of Christopher and his 3 ships. Some consider him a hero while other think of him as a villain. He returned to Europe with new things like turkeys, pineapples, and maize as well as native slaves which Columbus and his crew treated very poorly.
