Ancient Order of Hibernians: semi-secret society founded in Ireland to fight landlords. It moved to America and became a benevolent society for the oppressed Irish. Helped spawned the Molly Maguires.

Molly Maguires: secret organization of Irish miners that campaigned against poor working conditions in Pennsylvania coal mines in the 1860s and 1870s.
