Rosa parks was arrested after refusing to give up a sit, after that the Montgomery Bus Boycott started, a important act for the civil rights movement. However, it wasn't all, Rosa Parks before the ocurred was already a civil rights actvist, being part of the NAACP as a secretary and fighting against segregation. After the boycott she became a important symbol for the movement, supporting civil-rights events, writing a autobiography and even receiving the Congressional Gold Medal, the highest honor the United States bestows on a civilian.
