The Supreme Court rules on the separate but equal doctrine in Plessy v Ferguson case constitutional. The separate but equal doctrine is also known as the Jim Crow Law. States could offer separate facilities for white and black patrons and as long equal accommodation is provided there is no infringement of civil rights.
