Recalling the lies of the "Great Terror" it's pos-
sible to believe that Zinkovsky fell an innocent victim of Stalinist
repression. For his son Vadim, a veteran of the Armed Forces of
the USSR, whose sister died for the "Soviet homeland" in 1942, it
was psychologically necessary to believe in this innocence when,
in 1990, he was informed of his father's rehabilitation.
