Army retreated from Alexandrovsk on November 4, 1919, the Batko
ordered Zinkovsky to find 20 - 30 barrels of spirits and toss them in
the middle of one of the villages. The calculation turned out to be
correct: the spirits held up the pursuit of the "Shkurovtsy" for several
hours.
