The Delartation of Independence is the document that freed America from the British Parliament. In June of 1776, a committee of five including; Ben Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, and John Adams, came together and started drafting the document. Then finally on July 4, 1776, the Declaration of Independence was adoptyed by the Continental Congress.
