~Mr. Bingley is introduced to everyone. He brought his sister and Mr. Darcy to the ball.
~Jane and Mr. Bingley are attracted to one another. He dances with her two times.
~When asked about the Bennet girls, Darcy insults Elizabeth saying "She is tolerable; but not handsome enough to tempt me." This insult is overheard by Elizabeth, who in turn now dislikes Mr. Darcy.
