The Purges happened after the mutinies in the Corazonian army sent to attack the GRE army. The Purges were completed by men enitirely loyal to the Corazonian regime. Thousands of people were killed: men, women, and children. The ones that were killed were suspected loyalists and sympathizers of the GRE and old central kindgoms
