GQ OnlineTony Hawk is getting older. The man who brought skateboarding to the mainstream in a huge way is now old enough to have a 22-year-old son who is himself a pro skateboarder. Most athletes at his age would be long past retirement. And though Hawk did retire from competitions in 1999, he still skates professionally to this day. And not only that, he's still trying to do things that have never been done before. Case in point, this new video (which was made to promote some new Sony camera for people who, unlike me, do physical things with their lives) of Tony Hawk becoming the first ever person to successful skate a horizontal loop.
