What is it? This was a march led by Martin Luther King Jr. , Bayard Rustin, and Philip Randolph, to advocate for the advancements of economic and civil rights for African Americans at Washington D.C. This is where Martin Luther King Jr. gave his historic I have a Dream speech which inspired millions to join the movement for african american civil rights. About 250,000 participants were present for the march.

Major Effect: One of the largest protests in American History, very successful with over 250,000 organized participants advocating for the advancement of economic and civil rights for African Americans. Martin Luther King was able to give a very inspiring speech here as well.
